You've been told you need a crown,
but no one's told you why it keeps failing.

If any of these sound familiar, a thorough evaluation is the right first step.

01

A tooth cracked or broke and you don't know why it happened.

02

A crown keeps coming loose and you've replaced it more than once.

03

An old crown no longer fits and food gets stuck around it.

04

A large filling has weakened the tooth and you're worried it won't hold.

05

You're missing a tooth and the others are starting to shift.

06

You want a permanent solution, not another temporary patch.

07

You've been told a root canal and crown are your only option.

One visit. One permanent crown. The difference is in the planning.

A same-day crown is a custom cap milled from a solid block of high-strength ceramic and bonded over a damaged or weakened tooth — restoring its shape, strength, and function in a single appointment. The technology is called CEREC. The outcome still depends on the diagnosis behind it.

Most crowns that fail are not bad crowns. They are crowns placed without understanding the underlying cause — a tooth that cracked because the bite was uneven, a crown that came loose because the jaw shifted. The restoration was fine. The diagnosis was incomplete.

What a properly placed crown gives you back.

Beyond fixing a damaged tooth — here's what you gain when the diagnosis is right and the restoration is built to last.

Restores Full Function

Chew, bite, and eat with confidence again.

Protects the Tooth

Seals out bacteria and prevents further damage.

Lasts 15+ Years

One of the most durable restorations in dentistry.

Natural Appearance

Custom-matched to blend with your surrounding teeth.

Same-Day Option

No temporary, no waiting — one appointment, done.

Four types of crowns. One right for you.

Every tooth is different. The right material depends on where it sits, how it bites, and what it needs to do.

Type 01

All-Ceramic & Porcelain

Natural-looking and metal-free. Ideal for front teeth where appearance matters most — matched to the exact shade and translucency of your surrounding teeth.

Type 02

Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal

Strength with a natural look. Often used for back teeth that bear heavier forces — the metal substructure adds durability while the porcelain overlay keeps the appearance tooth-like.

Type 03

Zirconia

Extremely strong and tooth-colored. Durable without any metal at all. A good choice for patients with metal sensitivities or anyone who wants maximum longevity from a single-material restoration.

Type 04

Same-Day CEREC

Designed, milled, and placed in a single visit — no temporary, no second appointment, no two weeks of waiting. The crown is made from a solid block of high-strength ceramic right here in the office.

  1. Step 01

    Comprehensive Evaluation

X-rays, digital scans, photographs, and a full review of your dental and medical history. Dr. House evaluates the tooth, the bite, and the surrounding structures before recommending a crown.

  2. Step 02

    Digital Scan & Design

No putty, no impressions. Dr. House scans the prepared tooth digitally and designs your crown on screen — adjusting shape, contour, and fit in real time.

  3. Step 03

    In-Office Milling

The CEREC mill carves your crown from a solid block of high-strength ceramic right here in the office. The milling takes about fifteen minutes.

  4. Step 04

    Placement & Bonding

Dr. House checks the fit, adjusts as needed, and bonds the crown in place. You leave with a permanent restoration. No temporary. No return visit.

Dr. House was one of the earliest CEREC same-day crown adopters in Phoenix and has placed thousands of single-visit crowns over her career. Her approach always starts with the bite, the jaw, and the forces acting on a tooth — because she's seen too many crowns fail for reasons that had nothing to do with the crown itself.

Why patients choose House Dental for same-day crowns.

Four things that make this practice different — and why your crown is more likely to hold.

No. 01

Same-Day CEREC Technology

Most Phoenix practices still send crowns to an outside lab. Dr. House designs and mills yours in-office. One visit. One crown. No temporary, no second appointment, no two weeks of waiting.

No. 02

Diagnostic-First Approach

A crown placed on a bad bite will fail again. Dr. House examines the bite, the jaw position, and the surrounding teeth before any restoration begins — because the foundation matters more than the crown itself.

No. 03

Digital Scanning, No Impressions

No putty, no gag reflex, no retakes. Dr. House uses digital scans for precision, and her in-office 3D printer creates custom guides and models when complex cases require them.

No. 04

The Whole Picture, Not Just One Tooth

If the bite is off or teeth have been shifting for years, placing a crown without addressing those issues means the problem will come back. Dr. House looks at the full picture first — so the restoration holds.

I had a crown replaced three times before I came to Dr. House. She found the real issue — my bite was off, and no one had caught it. She fixed that first, then replaced the crown. It's been holding for years.

I walked in with a cracked tooth in the morning and walked out with a permanent crown in the afternoon. Same day. No temporary, no second appointment. It still looks and feels like my own tooth.
